Scrapbook & Cards Today Gets New Editor
Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine has has a new Editor-In-Chief, effective immediately, according to an announcement made today by founder and President Catherine Tachdijian.
The new Editor is a familiar face to many in the industry: Becky Fleck, the owner of PageMaps.com, which reaches 20,000 readers per month, and the author of the bestselling book Scrapbook Page Maps: Sketches For Creative Layouts. Her follow-up book, Scrapbook Page Maps 2: More Sketches for Creative Layouts and Cards, is scheduled for publication by Memory Makers in November.
“Becky brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Scrapbook & Cards Today team, both as a writer and as a graphic illustrator. With her highly successful book Scrapbook PageMaps, and her second book Scrapbook PageMaps 2 (available October 2010), Becky’s relationships within the industry make her a valuable member of our team,” Catherine said.
Fleck, who lives in Montana, is an experienced scrapbooking instructor and graphic illustrator who freelances for several scrapbook companies, in addition to her website and book authoring. She's been a longtime columnist for Scrapbook & Cards Today.
Previous Editor-in-Chief Kerry McRorie will be moving to the position of Senior Editor and will continue to contribute to the publication.
“Kerry’s clear vision for Scrapbook & Cards Today these past four years has made this publication a worldwide success,” Tachdijian said in the announcement. “Kerry will continue to be a strong part of the Scrapbook & Cards Today family.”
No reason was announced by the publication for the change.
Scrapbook & Cards Today is a quarterly magazine that is based in Toronto and is available both in print and online formats.
