CHA Mega Show 2015 | Pocket Scrapbook Products

Let's take a look at some products from the CHA Mega Show 2015 that will be of special interest to pocket scrapbookers!

Simple Stories is always a go-to place for great pocket products, but this new release has something extra exciting - a sequel to their bestselling Say Cheese collection! The collection includes a pack of pocket cards, and of course great embellishments too.

The new collection by Megan Hoeppner for Webster's Pages is aimed at scrapbookers who record their memories on a monthly basis in pocket albums (as opposed to those who do weekly albums). The collection includes 12 sheets, one for each month of the year, that form the basis of an album.

If lots of color is your thing, Color Chaos from Bella Blvd will make you happy! This collection - also aimed at monthly pocket album users - features lots of bold, small prints to play with in your album.

Hero Arts' new Kelly Purkey collection, called Clearly Kelly, was a Hot Pick but is worth mentioning again because it is targeted directly at pocket scrapbookers. Of special note is the alphabet from the set, a small block outline that is the perfect size for using on even smaller 3x4 sized pocket cards.

Using clear materials is hot with pocket scrapbookers! To cater to this trend, We R Memory Keepers has announced a paper pad of patterned acetate sheets (also available in single sheets), as well as a matching Albums Made Easy kit.

Seven Paper, the new brand from Studio Calico, didn't attract a lot of buzz at the show. But for pet lovers, these phrase stickers from their release are absolute gems. Their pink and gold phrase stickers are also fabulous for memory keepers who like a bit of glitz in their pocket albums.

Phrase stickers are great essentials for pocket albums and many companies were showing versions of them. Tim Holtz doubled the size of his selection by adding two new sets  (with the red stickers, below) of black and white stickers - including a new larger set - to his idea-ology line.

Project Life had plenty of new core kit and card set releases, including a kit that is a collaboration with Southern Weddings magazine. However, the most notable addition to their line - both for what it is and what it represents - is the Photo Sleeve Fuse tool. The tool represents continuing acknowledgement by Project Life that despite their attempts to market Project Life as quick and easy, many consumers have adopted a very complex and creatively advanced style of using the albums. This tool caters to that market segment, a concession that not all consumers are adhering to the pure Project Life philosophy.

Technique Tuesday caters a lot to pocket scrapbookers. They have an extensive line of dies and stamps for creating custom journal cards, which they expanded at the CHA Mega Show 2015.

Technique Tuesday also offers a large selection of circle stamps that create a faux "look" and matching dies, perfect in size and sentiment for using on pocket cards. Several new sets were released in the winter show releases.

It seems like most pocket scrapbooking products are very graphic in nature, but if vintage is more to your liking, you will be happy to hear that Tim Holtz has come out with a set of pocket cards in his idea-ology product line, although not all are the typical 4x6 or 3x4 size.

Tim Holtz's Blueprint Mini stamps are perfect for use in pocket albums. But until now they were only available in sets of 12, so to get one theme (a set of four) you had to buy 8 other stamps you might not be interested in depending on what they were packaged with. Not any longer! Now the Blueprint Minis are available in sets of 4, with each theme being able to be purchased separately!
