Announcements from Memorytrends 2006

The Memorytrends 2006 trade show is currently underway in Las Vegas and some big announcements have been made in the last day as a result:

  • Creating Keepsakes magazine announced the winner of its massive contest, 2006 Scrapbooker of the Year, at a ceremony last evening. C.D. Muckosky of Winnipeg, Canada, beat out the other nine finalists to win the huge prize package that included $20,000 in cash and prizes as well as a two year contract to represent the magazine at future events. Looks like scrapbookers will be getting to know relative unknown C.D. very well in the next couple of years! Congratulations to her.
  • KI Memories finally ended all the speculation about the identity of the mystery company that Elsie Flannigan said she was going to create a product line with by announcing their deal with her to produce a line for introduction at CHA Winter 2007. Sounds like it should be a match made in heaven - Elsie is perfect for KI's colorful style. I personally can't wait to see the results of this marriage in 2007!
