When few days ago I first was Kandis Smith’s baby cards on Echo Park blog I was instantly inspired to create something! I loved the negative space backed with pattern paper on her cards and I wanted to create a similar look. Continue Reading →

We finish off today with team designer Yana Smakula. She brings us this hello that is full of sunshine (something we haven’t seen all week here in the so-called “sunshine state”) with help from some fabulous Pebbles products!
I fell in love with the Pebbles Basics Pads the moment I saw them, and patterns like this yellow chevron are the reason why! They are so quick and easy – just grab a sheet and fold it to make a card! Continue Reading →
The Hampton Art booth was bursting at the seams with new stamps!
In addition to the usual Graphic 45 and 7 Gypsies stamps, Hampton Art released clear stamps for their newly-purchased Jillibean Soup brand:
Take a closer look at the Jillibean Soup stamp release on the Jillibean Soup blog.
Hampton Art also had new cling stamps for several new collections from Bella Blvd (Kiss Me, Love & Marriage, and Sand & Surf):
However, my favorites were clear stamps made to match the newest Echo Park collections, Oh Snap! and Bundle of Joy:
Another new product that caught my eye was the new rub on dispenser called Decorunner. It looks like such a fun product to use on cards!
Since I am on the Stampendous blog team, I was excited to visit their booth at CHA. Their booth at CHA Winter 2013 was filled with lots of beautiful cards and other creative projects from their design team. Stampendous introduced several new stamp designs (clear, cling and wood mounted), new glitter colours and other fun stuff for CHA Winter 2013.
One of my favorites in the booth was the mirror displays on their wall – each mirror was decorated differently by their design team member and featured the use of their stamps, glitter, mica and color fragments.
Here’s a closer look at some of the mirrors’ details:
Stampendous also showcased their super fine glitters. I could not resist the urge to touch it – it’s almost like velvet!
My absolute favorites in the Stampendous booth were Fran’s Encrusted Jewels Kits. There are so many different ways you can use them! And I had no idea you can emboss from the back side! Here’s a quick video I took at the show:
At Winter CHA 2013, Carta Bella Paper introduced several new collections including So Noted, Well Travelled and Cool Summer.
While most of their products are best suited for scrapbookers, their newly-launched 4″x6″ Card Packs really caught my eye as I think they would be a perfect place to start a quick card.
The new Card Packs will only be available as a part of the So Noted and Well Travelled collections, and will include 15 double-sided cards that measure 4″ by 6 “.
Here are a few photos of the Carta Bella Paper booth and a close up on one of the Card Packs:
The So Noted and the Well Travelled collections will be shipping in February, while the Cool Summer will begin shipping early March.
During the CHA Winter 2013 show in Anaheim, Echo Park Paper introduced several new collections. Their newest collections that are available in stores right now are Scoot and the Photo Freedom Volume I. February releases are All About A Boy, Sweet Girl, Happy-Go-Lucky (a Photo Freedom collection) and several new mini themes.
They also introduced another addition to their popular Dots and Stripes Line – baby boy and girl collections called “Bundle of Joy” that will be shipping in March. And finally their April collection is A Perfect Summer along with some other mini themes.
As a cardmaker, I was very much excited about the addition of washi tape to their new lines. Here’s a peek at the new All About A Boy washi tape set:
Washi tape will also be a part of the Sweet Girl Collection. Just a reminder – besides paper, Echo Park has matching brads, stickers and chipboard as well for most of their collections.
Here are a few of the gorgeous projects that were displayed in the booth:
