National Scrapbook Day Giveaway Winners!

It’s time to announce the winners of all the National Scrapbook Day giveaways on Scrapbook Update! Lots of giveaways means lots of winners!

Many thanks to all of the companies who generously donated items to Scrapbook Update that were used in these giveaways:

National Scrapbook Day wouldn’t have been nearly as much fun without their help!

10am: Mudd Puddles Giveaway

The challenge this hour was to tell us your favorite organizational trick or product.

The winner was Linda H. on 2010/05/01 at 1:15pm, who said:

I keep all my paper scraps in file folders in a rolling card. They are separated by solid and prints. Makes it very easy to just the right piece to accent a card or layout. Thanks for the opportunity to win some great products!
Linda

11am: Pink Paislee Giveaway

This time around, we asked what scrappy thing you love that you’ve been neglecting.

The winner this hour was Kristina on 2010/05/01 at 10:41pm:

The thing I have been neglecting most is my daughters’ birthday layouts. We’re almost to the next birthday and I would really like to have last year’s done before this years comes around. I just feel like those pages need to be extra special and I don’t have the time to make them really great. My favorite product I’ve been neglecting is my new Cricut cartridges. I just “had” to have them, but still haven’t cut one single thing with it yet!

Noon: Cricut Cartridge and Post-It Craft Paper

This hour’s discussion was full of scrappy goodness – we asked people to share their wishlist!

The winner of this prize was KittyMama on 2010/05/01 at 11:45pm, who listed:

My wishlist … refills for my tim holtz inks cause they’re starting to get dry. Plus Tim’s new book. The new kraft, manilla, etc kits from Basic Grey. Most of the new EK Success border punches. The Jenni Bowlin and Jillibean soup coredinations paper. Martha Stewart punch around the page punches. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

1pm: October Afternoon/Lily Bee prize pack

We talked about using sketches this hour, and asked for readers’ thoughts on them.

The prize drawing was won by Jodee on 2010/05/01 at 2:41pm, who said:

Usually I don’t use sketches. I look at them and sometimes I think the ideas from them stay in mind, but I don’t start a project with a sketch usually.

2pm: Unity Stamp Sketchy Boy set

We talked sketches again, this time for cards with the Paper Crafts Sketches To Go book, as we gave away a set of Unity Stamps called Sketchy Boy.

The winner was VickiF on 2010/05/01 at 5:49pm, who said:

I need to get that idea book….I am NOT good at cards…..Love that stamp set, perfect for scrapping my little man!

3pm: Graphic 45 paper pads

This hour the talk was all about trends, and since vintage is queen of the trends right now, we gave away some Graphic 45 paper pads.

#1: A Proper Gentleman was won by Melinda Wilson on 2010/05/02 at 3:36pm, who said:

I loved the banner flags and butterflies trends that were introduced. I also saw more purple lines which I loved. I would love to see more turquoise stuff.

#2: Le Romantique was won by VickiF on 2010/05/01 at 5:56pm, who said:

You are sooooo right! No one does it like Graphic 45 on the vintage look!

#3: On The Boardwalk was won by Kim on 2010/05/01 at 4:29pm, who said:

Perfect!!

9pm: Technique Tuesday stamps

As the sun started to set on National Scrapbook Day, we discussed the importance of local scrapbook stores, and gave away some great products that you will only find in specialty stores: Technique Tuesday stamps!

The winner of the stamps was Allie on 2010/05/03 at 12:45am, who said:

I used to live near my LSS but I moved and for the last year and a half I have been 45 mins from a store. It is not an issue for me to travel there if I want to buy things as I need to go to that city to get groceries anyway. The thing that I find difficult, however, is that I am online a lot looking at all the gorgeous and CHEAP!!!! goodies that Americans can get. Locating goods in New Zealand can be difficult and when I do they are always about 3x the price of the American stores with the exchange rate and POSTAGE gasp :( I have bought a few times from scrapbook.com but it costs more for postage than it does to get the goods themselves so I have to limit that. I try to use things like inks, ribbons and sewing to add pizazz rather than product and it is OK so far.

10pm – Prima prize packs

Late night was our easy giveaway – we wanted to know what your favorite easy trick was for jazzing up a layout fast. We gave away two Prima prize packs full of quick ways to fancy up projects!

Prima Prize Pack #1  was won by Erika M on 2010/05/02 at 8:10am, who said:

I like to add stickles, bling, and flowers to jazz up a layout!

Prima Prize Pack #2 was won by Jen on 2010/05/02 at 12:32pm, who said:

For me, the easiest way to jazz it up is to use Glimmer Mist or something similar – it takes away from the layout looking too “sterile” and always makes me feel more artsy. LOL

11pm – Nikki Sivils prize pack

We closed out the festivities by asking for a brag list of what you did or got done on NSD! And we left a great prize till last – a huge Nikki Sivils goodie bag!

The goodies were won by Neysa on 2010/05/02 at 12:51am, who said:

I completed 16 8×8 layouts for a swap and went to a crop with my mom. It has been a successful and fun NSD!

Congratulations to all of the lucky winners, and thanks to everyone who took part in NSD on Scrapbook Update!

Winners: Keep an eye out in your email boxes later today for your email from Scrapbook Update verifying your win and collecting your contact information for mailing your prizes!
