Today’s issue of Noteworthy has a theme…it’s all about calls for publication and design teams! So get ready to do some scrapping! And as a bonus, we have a job listing to share as well, and some newly announced design teams.

Paper Crafts magazine has their calls up for their March/April 2013 issue. Yes, it’s time to think spring already – at least if you are a submission scrapbooker. Paper Crafts is looking for baby projects with animals, bridal cards & gift card holders using bridal dress materials, projects using pastels, country style projects, ombre/monochromatic stamping, and sketch project submissions. School is starting all across the country and digital designers have been very busy making sure that we have new back-to-school kits. I’m not sure when I’ve seen this many new school collections at one time, and they are all fantastic! Let’s go take a look at just a few of the newest collections.

Designer Digitals

At Designer Digitals, Katie Pertiet has just released two new school-themed collections, one classic bright collection and one for vintage fans. Her “School Mates Kit” includes bright primary colors and loads of fun and whimsical stickers and characters. Her “Lesson Book Kit” includes an old schoolhouse collection of papers, flowers, frames, labels and oodles of other embellishments. Both of these kits are just part of larger collections that you can find at Designer Digitals.

Meet the Designer | I am happy to introduce you to a wonderful digital designer – Jen Martakis. I have admired Jen’s work for a while now and I hope you enjoy getting to know her!

Jen’s Life | Jen lives in a small farming community in Northwest Indiana with her husband, Nick, and five sons. Her sons keep her very busy, as you can imagine! They range in age from her oldest, who is in college, all the way down to her youngest, who will start kindergarten next fall. With so many boys, her days are full, but she loves having all the boys around. It takes someone special to handle that much activity, but Jen loves it! Spring is upon us and with the season, comes fun seasonal scrapbooking kits! Everywhere I look, I see bright colors, bunnies and kits celebrating new life. Here are just a few of the new digital kits that caught my eye this week.

The Digichick

The Sweet Easter Kit at the Digichick, designed by Etc. by Danyale, immediately drew me in. It is adorable and includes a banner, bunnies, eggs, and beautiful shabby papers, as well as numerous other embellishments.
