Update | ICE Resin, Tammy Tutterow, SPC, more

Another wave of news has hit, and that means it is time for another Update column!

By now, most everyone in the industry has heard the sad news of the tragic death of Heidi Swapp’s 16 year old son Cory on July 10th. My family joins the entire scrapbook industry in sending its love and support to the Swapp family at this difficult time.

You might wonder what we are seeking in a Designer; we are looking for someone with not only a keen eye for design but also a strong understanding of trends. We desire individuals with the ability to think outside of the box while remaining cutting edge, trendsetting and true to their own style. Keep in mind, while we are seeking artistically minded Designers we are not necessarily narrowing our vision to those who are widely known in the industry. Rather, it is our hope to create a team of Designers with various skills in jewelry, artwork, assemblage, and design aesthetics. Continue Reading →

CHA Winter 2013 | Spellbinders Media Mixáge

With the current trend in mixed media, the paper crafting world and the jewelry world are starting to cross paths.  At CHA Winter 2013, Spellbinders introduced one example of this intersection with its new line, Media Mixáge, created in parternship with jewelry mixed media artist Susan Lenart Kazmer.  The line expands on Spellbinders’ popular nesting dies by offering nesting dies that coordinate with a line of metal bezels and flat blanks.
