Welcome to another edition of gallery highlights!  It’s been a couple of weeks since my last gallery highlights article and I had so much fun this week looking at all the new layouts. And it looks like everyone’s mood is starting to shift towards outside activities and brighter colors! Let’s go take a look at what I found. I hope you like them all as much as I do! Spring has Sprung by sophie crespy

Yes, spring has really sprung here in the midwest and I love Sophie’s layout! She used a pink background and layered a white sheet of circles over the top. The result is just too cute! I really love how she added photos to some of the circles but not all of them and filled others with embellishments or papers. I am definitely going to scraplift this – it’s one of my favorite layouts this year so far!

Isn’t She Lovely by cindys732003

Cindy did such a fantastic job combining bright colors, different patterns, and a bunch of embellishments, along with four photos. She kept all of her papers within the same collection and same color families, used coordinating embellishments, and layered all of these elements perfectly.

For the Birthday Boy by clouds85

I love this card so much that I don’t even know where to start! The background is three different pieces of patterned paper upon which the designer layered and matted multiple tags. She used dimensional adhesive on more than one layer so that the sentiment literally pops off the card. It’s absolutely gorgeous!

Welcome to another edition of gallery highlights!  I have been drawn to bright, colorful layouts for weeks and weeks now – it must be because Mother Nature seems to have forgotten to bring spring to the midwest and we are still shivering with dark skies and snow almost constantly. So it’s a good thing the galleries have layouts that brighten my day and cheer me up just a bit. I found some more fun and colorful layouts to share this week – even some digital templates that use color beautifully. Let’s go take a look and I hope you like them all as much as I do. Don’t forget – you can click on the links to visit the layouts in their galleries and view supply lists, leave a comment for the designer, or view the designer’s other work.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by blinks14

I love the background Jessica used in this first layout. She used patterned paper to create little bricks that she laid out in rows across the middle of her page. She gave them dimension so that she could also layer digital stamps and brushes underneath as well. I also really like the way she framed her photo – she outlined it multiple times to give the impression of a frame without really framing it. This is a colorful, fun layout with a lot of interesting design ideas.

Lucky by AmberR

Look what I found just in time for St. Patrick’s Day! Although I have to confess that I’ve been a huge fan of Amber’s designs for years now, this particular layout is now one of my absolute favorites. She layered photos, journaling cards and her journaling diagonally across the page and added in adorable and themed elements along every photo and card. She used brushes and stamps and swirls under the collage to add depth and texture to the layout and then splashes of contrasting color in just the perfect amount. What a stunning layout!

That Boy by Momma_Paparazzi

Michelle used a dark background for the base of her layout, layered on top of patterned paper. Over the dark cardstock, she layered more patterned paper, tags, doilies and buttons. The soft colors of her smaller layers bring both light and attention to her photo. This layout is filled with so much texture and so many fun layers – they all work together to showcase this most adorable photo.
