Digital Trends | Holiday Products, Part I

Digital scrapbooking stores are bursting at the seams with new holiday-themed products. There are so many new products showing up daily that it is impossible to share them all. I’ve chosen some of the more unique and interesting products to show you here but don’t forget to check out the links to the stores – there are many, many more wonderful products out there. In an attempt to highlight as many products as possible, I’ve split this article into two parts so check back tomorrow for the second part! Right now, let’s go take a look at some of the newest releases.

Designer Digitals

At Designer Digitals, Cathy Zielske has just released three really fun holiday products. Her first release includes 10 holiday-themed check cards sized just under 3 x 4, perfect for Project Life or any digital or hybrid project and includes two different Hanukkah cards. Her second release is another fun set of cards featuring holiday themes layered over a grid background. Her third release is totally fun and unique – 17 holiday-themed words featuring social-media savvy hashtags.

Katie Pertiet has also released a bunch of new holiday projects. My favorite is her layered template pack that includes four 12×12 digital pages with stitched page grids.  She included little bits and pieces of accents in a December theme so that the pages can be used for Project Life or in a December Daily album.

Studio DoubleD’s newest release is adorable – it includes five ready-made elfin accents that would go perfectly with any digital layout or an Elf on the Shelf page.

The Digichick

The Digichick has two new releases that immediately caught my eye. Kimeric Kreation’s new kit includes 12 shabby solid papers and 14 beautiful patterned papers, as well as a full alphabet and lots of elements. Digilicious Designs has also released a new kit in rich seasonal colors with 15 papers and almost 60 elements.

Chalkboards and chalky alphabets are all over the digital scrapbooking world right now. Every week, I see a new chalkboard idea on one of the digi sites and they are cool and funky. Let’s go take a look at just a few of the chalkboard products I’ve seen lately.

Designer Digitals

At Designer Digitals, Katie Pertiet has a lot of chalk and chalkboard products in her store. Some that have caught my eye include six ready-made clustered square elements, a paper pack of basic chalkboard backgrounds in various shades of green and black, and a chalkboard alphabet set rimmed in metal.

Digital Trends | Hexagons

Hexagons are showing up all over the web right now – they are some of the trendiest shapes of the summer. Let’s go take a look at just a few of the digital hexagon-shaped products that I’ve seen lately.

Oscraps

Oscraps has two products that focus almost exclusively on the hexagon right now. The first is a set of hexagon tabs from Paislee Press with writing prompts and word art. The second is a 12 x 12 template by Anna Aspnes – the hexagon shapes extend behind the paper strip and title, allowing you to fill the shapes with just images or a combination of images and papers.

Digital Trends | Blending

Blending has always been a popular tool for digital scrapbookers. It’s one of those fun techniques that you just can’t do with paper scrapping. Using photoshop or other similar programs, you can blend papers, photos, textures, overlays, brushes and on and on. The possibilities are truly endless. Blendable products are really hot right now. Let’s take a look at just a few of the new digi products that have been released.

Designer Digitals

Katie Pertiet has collection after collection of blendable products at Designer Digitals. She has just released 3 new blending products this week, including vintage journalers with soft edges for easy blending, as well as a blended template that includes snippets of papers and elements. All you have to do is add your photo, paper and some journaling. Her third release is a set of 4 12×12 clipping masks for blending your own papers and photos.
