Last week I showed you the new "Celebra'tions by Richard Garay" brand that Spellbinders was exhibiting at the CHA PaperArts show in Atlanta. Today, I'll show it to you in action!

Celebrate It! by Michaels Treat Bags
In the overview of the line, I referenced Richard's background at Stampin' Up!, and how you'll see that reflected in this project's products. This line does something that is very common in direct sales product lines, but not as much in the wholesale market. Each product is designed to do one thing, one project, extremely well. In contrast, wholesale market products are designed to be less of uni-taskers and more versatile. And while versatility does have its advantages, there are also advantages to using products designed with a tighter focus on a specific function. If the product's intended use is exactly the project you want to do, you get a product that will perform to a high level: easy to use, simple, and beautifully designed. That is what you get using the Celebra'tions line - products that make it easy for even beginners to pull together perfect projects.
For this project I tried out the "Sweet Treats" stamp & die set, that makes tags for gift and treat bags. These tags are modular elements - the background is one stamp (and die), and then the elements to go inside the box are separate stamps. There are several design elements that can be switched out on these tags - a heart, a cake, and a flower - and a few sentiments too. The tag itself also comes in two separate sizes, for any size treat bag (the large tag is featured on my project). The smaller tag is striped and only has room to add a sentiment, not an image.

These tags are so quick and easy to make with the Celebra'tions modular elements! And the set is so versatile, good for a variety of occasions. With a slightly different color scheme, the tag I made above would be perfect for a Valentine's Day gift. Below, the simple sentiment "for you" with the flower, could serve a variety of occasions - birthdays, teacher gifts, a friendly pick-me-up...the possibilities are endless!

Adding little details like this can make the project your own. I added a sparkly dot of Ranger Stickles as the center of my flower in the tag above, to give it just a little extra "pop". Embossing the flower, cutting it out on a separate sheet and foam dotting it, or adding hand drawn details could also step it up. The possibilities for this set are endless - especially when you consider that the tag dies don't have to be used with the background stamp, opening up a whole new world of possibilities with the tags as a blank canvas.
I can't wait to play with more of this line! These tags were so fun to make and so easy - the elements just all went together so intuitively. "Celebra'tions by Richard Garay" is a very new direction for Spellbinders, and so far, a very positive one.
