Layout | We Are Family

Now that my new creative space is finally completed and functional (photos coming soon), I'm able to create much more again! The first thing I whipped out in my new space was this layout, inspired by both the precious photo and the fabulous new Park Bench collection from Fancy Pants Designs. Also, I wanted to take my new Silhouette Portrait out for another run. I love my new toy!

Wow, that's a long supply list for me...I don't usually have that much detail in my projects. I was just inspired by all the great products sitting on my desk!

Here's a closer look at what those details are:

This title block was exactly the sort of thing that I bought my Portrait for! I cut it from the new Silhouette Chipboard sheets. To get this thickness, I laminated two of them together. The depth is great and it was really easy to do, using Ranger Studio by Claudine Hellmuth Matte Multi Medium as the adhesive and leaving it to dry under a couple of heavy books. Then after it dried, I painted it with the paint I can't live without lately - Martha Stewart Crafts. For this application I used the High Gloss in Beetle Black.

The orange flowers are Heidi Swapp Color Magic Flowers available at Michael's that come uncolored. I sprayed "Sunshine" Mister Huey's from Studio Calico onto my Ranger Craft Mat and then spritzed both the mat and the flower with water before rubbing the flower onto the mat.

I love these tag elements and they were so quick and easy to assemble! The tag bases are the coordinating tag set for the Park Bench collection from Fancy Pants Designs, with the string replaced with Gray Doodle Twine. The bottom tag was completed with just a Heidi Swapp sticker. The middle tag is barely more complicated, with a piece of Heidi Swapp Color Magic Chipboard spritzed with Color Shine. The top tag is nothing more than washi tape by Close To My Heart and Bella Blvd alphabet stickers. It was so simple!
