American Crafts | I Love You To The Stars

march-3

Today we’re starting a new feature week! This week we will be featuring a variety of the products that make up the American Crafts family of brands!

Designer Susie Moore is here to kick it off with some Dear Lizzy! She set to work creating with the 4×6 Die Cut Cards from the new Lucky Charms collection. In a pack of ten with a variety of designs and sayings on them, they are perfect for card making!

With the die cut card as a foundation, the card comes together pretty simply. Star embellishments are an absolute must with this sentiment, and Susie used two types for variety – die cuts and some bling. Using the same color cardstock for the layer behind the card and some of the star die cuts makes the pieces all look tied together.

Supplies | Cardstock: American Crafts. Die Cuts: American Crafts (Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm Die Cut Cards), MFT Stamps (Star). Bling: unknown.

Designer: Susie Moore

Susie Cannon Moore is married to her soulmate Randall, and between them they have five grown children – four boys and one girl – and five wonderful grandchildren. They live in a small country town called Maypearl, Texas. Susie has been paper crafting all her life, but started scrapbooking seriously in 1998. She  has been published in Paper Crafts and Just Steampunk, and also have been on HGTVʼ’s Crafterʼ’s Coast to Coast. Susie loves to scrapbook her family, and do mini books (mostly as gifts). Card making is also a passion she has embraced for years. As a computer nerd, she especially enjoys using digis. In May of 2011, Susie, who has been a dieaholic from the early Sizzix days, started a website devoted to crafting with dies. You can visit her website at The Dies Have It.

And we had one more project hiding, so here’s a bonus day of Technique Tuesday feature week for you! Designer Kathy Martin worked with the I Love You Seal stamp set from the Signed, Sealed, Delivered series of stamps.

Technique-Tuesday-I-Love-You-Seal

Signed, Sealed, Delivered consists of 13 seal designs and two Seal Companion sets that they can be assembled with to turn them into ribbon badges. The seals are great on their own, as Kathy shows here, or assembled into the ribbons.

Kathy made her stamped image appear to be a coordinated embellishment of the paper collection she used by stamping the image right onto one of the patterned papers. And speaking of embellishments – did you notice the blue card with the frame in it? It’s part of a sheet of patterned paper from the Chilled Cucumber Soup collection that has 3×4 cards on one side of it.

Supplies | Stamps: Technique Tuesday (I Love You Seal). Patterned Papers: Jillibean Soup (Chilled Cucumber Soup). Button: Prima. Jute: May Arts. Pearls: My Mind’s Eye.
