Especially For You

Especially for You (main) (600x400)

A patterned paper with a design that isn’t “all over” can serve as an excellent base for a quick card! Designer Sharon Callis demonstrates that technique perfectly here using a paper from Prima’s Rondelle A4 paper pad. The bird and flower design become key elements in the scene she created in the corner of her card simply through her placement and cutting of the paper.

Also, Sharon provides a great reminder that just because you use a “pre-made” embellishment doesn’t mean you have to consider that element finished or untouchable when using it. Here, she added crystals to the Prima flowers to tie them in with the background and the crystals she put on it.

Supplies | Patterned Paper: Prima Marketing (Rondelle A4 pad). Flowers: Prima Marketing (Tasha Frost). Crystals: Prima Marketing Say It In Crystals (Romance Novel), Imaginisce I-Rock (Pink Black & Clear). Adhesive: Xyron (Mega Runner, Glue Stick).

Beautiful card. Nice selection of the paper portion to use – that hummer is adorable and I like the gems and crystals you added to the flowers.
