CHA Winter 2013 | We R Memory Keepers

In addition to six new paper collections, We R Memory Keepers introduced their Albums Made Easy system, available to stores in March. In a sea of pocket page products and accoutrements at this show, several items in particular stood out.

The 3×4 rounded corner rectangle punch helps memory keepers punch their own pocket-sized journaling cards or photos in that ever-so-familiar, rounded style. It ships to stores in June and will cost $29.

And in answer to an age-old scrapbooking peeve, We R Memory Keepers invented a new 3-ring “Flush Bound” page protector that is fused together in a way that leaves no gutter down the center of a two-page spread. These will be available to ship in March and will cost $5.99 for a package of 5.

Also notable in this release were the washi sheets and 6×6 washi pads. The 12×12, single design sheets are ideal for die cutting machines. The 6×6 pads offer 20 sheets of 10 different designs for $7.99 and will appeal to card makers, instructors, and anyone who enjoys a smaller sampling of many styles. Both the washi sheets and pads will be shipping to retailers in February.

We R Memory Keepers, who made many of the Project Life system components before Becky Higgins began her partnership with American Crafts, is also introducing its own pocket scrapbooking system, called “Albums Made Easy”.

  1. Terri Harmon says:

With regard to the new page protectors, is it safe to assume that there will still be a “gutter” between two “flush bound” protectors where the back side of the first protector meets the front side of the next protector? Or have they found some way to bind them all together?

  2. Yes, between each Flush Bound protector there will still be a gutter.

  3. How does that punch work? Is it one of the “stand up and lean over it to get the punch to punch” types? Thanks.

    • I didn’t get a chance to see the punch in action since the one on display was a prototype. But I would assume that for a punch that size you would probably have to stand up and put some muscle into it.

    • Just a follow-up about the punch…
We R Memory Keepers emailed me some more information today. From their press release:

Easily turn any picture or paper of choice into a 3×4” card using the Albums Made Easy 3×4” Card Punch. This punch contains two pieces, the bottom piece, which can be placed anywhere on a project, and the top piece that’s held in place using strong magnets. The clear plastic at the top of the punch in addition to the punches reverse technology helps to see exactly where it will punch, so there are no longer any incorrect punches. Not only does this help save paper, but photos and time. And, when complete, the final punched pieces include nicely rounded edges.

  4. Wow, some really interesting things. Can’t wait to see those albums

  5. Tami, nice job again with the photos. We R has some nice designs, great colors. Love the designs on the albums and pocket products you highlighted. That red/orange album is scrumptious!!!

  6. When will the 3×4 cards and new paper be in stock?
