CHA Winter 2013 | Elle’s Studio

Elle’s Studio released three new collections for CHA Winter 2013 featuring their signature tags, journaling cards, and stamps.

Each collection is jam-packed with on-trend, graphic tidbits that work equally well with pocket-style scrapbooking or with traditional pages.

New to this release that Elle’s Studio hasn’t done before are tabbed journaling cards, and a debut 12×12 paper set to coordinate with each colorway.

2012 Cover Page by anke

Anke is just finishing up her 2012 Project Life album and her cover page is simply gorgeous! She used 4 photos to represent the seasons and cropped them into thin rectangles that then blend into the date. She added a simple quote, an oversized bracket and some lightly textured brushes to finish it off and the result is simple and stunning!

Get Well Soon!

Get Well Soon by Corri Garza

This get well card by designer Corri Garza is beautiful without being fancy. Elegant in its simplicity, it conveys its message without wearing out the recipient with overwhelming detail for the eye.

Get Well close-up

One of the subtle touches that makes this card really shine is the extra detail in the clouds. They are both embossed and glittered, giving them depth and texture, before being adhered with dimensional adhesive. To add glitter to the clouds, Corri found that it works best if you run the cloud through the Xyron first, sprinkle it with glitter and then emboss it.

Supplies | Cardstock: Recollections (white, kraft). Decorative Tape: KI Memories (Blue Skies Flashback). Punches: Fiskars (Large Cloud, Extra Large Cloud), unknown corner rounder. Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug (D’Vine Swirls). Glitter: Martha Stewart (Crystal Glitter – Coarse). Stamps: Scrappy Moms (Everyday Greetings). Adhesive: Xyron (X), 3M (ATG), unknown pop dots.

Designer: Corri Garza

Corri began paper crafting in 2009 when she purchased a Cricut at a Black Friday sale. She started following some blogs and immediately fell in love with card making. Recently, she added a Silhouette Cameo to her craft room and she loves working with die cuts to create cards, gift boxes and altered items. Corri lives just outside San Antonio, Texas with her husband and three kids. When she’s not in her craft room, she is watching her twins playing sports. They are involved in volleyball, baseball and softball, so there is always a game to watch!  Corri also enjoys photography, especially taking nature photos. CHA Winter 2013 | We R Memory Keepers

In addition to six new paper collections, We R Memory Keepers introduced their Albums Made Easy system, available to stores in March. In a sea of pocket page products and accoutrements at this show, several items in particular stood out.

The 3×4 rounded corner rectangle punch helps memory keepers punch their own pocket-sized journaling cards or photos in that ever-so-familiar, rounded style. It ships to stores in June and will cost $29.
