A Summer Fresh Thank You!

Doesn’t this card make you just want to run outside and have a picnic in the sunshine? Designer Evgenia Petzer’s thank you card is a fabulous example of the ease and convenience of working with coordinates to create a flawlessly put-together card. Besides the Simple Stories coordinates, the only other supplies needed to complete this card were a sentiment stamp and some ink. If you have collection kits sitting around half-used, this should inspire you to pull them out and use them up!

Once you have coordinates to work with as the base of your design, a few details can go a long way in creating a finished piece. For this card, Evgenia pulled out a tool that is a staple for many card makers: her sewing machine. A few stitched borders and a single row of decorative zig zag stitching turn this card into a pulled-together work of art. The red stitching fits the country theme perfectly.

Supplies | Patterned Papers & Stickers: Simple Stories (Summer Fresh). Stamps: SP & Company. Ink: Tsukineko Versafine, Papertrey Ink. Other: Sewing Machine and thread.
