Welcome to Gallery Highlights for this week!
This week’s finds include some beautiful fall-themed layouts and some really fun photo groupings. Let’s go take a look at them and I hope you like them all as much as I do. Don’t forget – You can click on the links to visit the layouts in their galleries and view supply lists, leave a comment for the designer, or view the designer’s other work.
The Good Life by Ashley888
This first layout just jumped out of the gallery at me! Ashley double-matted white cardstock on some fun, vibrant colors and then added her photos on the diagonal to start the layout. She left thin white borders between all of her elements, which really adds to the crispness of the design. She also added in a word bubble as the title, as well as fun and playful embellishments. The result is simply fantastic.
The Fam by earlofoxford
Linda’s layout includes six pictures cropped to thin rectangular shapes that really caught my eye. I love the unique crop and I love the way that design highlights the faces in the photos and really allows the family relationships to shine. She matted the photos on a strip of textured cardstock and then again on a subtle, striped piece of patterned paper. Her embellishments are mostly neutral with a beautiful pop of red that complements the photos. Fantastic design, Linda!
Fall Festival by jecarl
Jen’s layout is such a fun fall-themed design. I love the photo strips on the right and the strip of themed patterned paper on the left complements them beautifully. She used word stickers in a large grouping along the bottom and I love the effect of all that text grouped together.
All I Ever Wanted by tonyadirk
Black-and-white photos go beautifully with bright colors and Tonya has combined the two to perfection in her layout. She placed the photos of her kids across the top of the page and placed her journaling and the title directly underneath the photos. For the bottom half of the layout, she placed her kids’ names vertically on different colors of bright cardstock. The final touch was bright white stitching around the edges and in between all of her elements. What a beautiful clean and simple design!
Fall Frisbee by debikins
Debi’s fall-themed layout has such great energy to it, yet also captures the feel of the fall season beautifully. She layered her photos on both sides of the patterned paper and used a chicken wire element to connect them across the middle of the page. After adding her title and journaling, she added stitching as a border and then scattered leaf elements across the page. The effect is beautiful!
Happy Holidays card by StamperK
I’m continuing to showcase holiday cards as we get closer to December and I love this card that Karen made based on a “CAS(E) this Sketch” challenge. (You can find the challenge here.) She used a thin border of navy cardstock with a light cream shade of cardstock as her base. She then added embossed kraft paper across part of the background and added a stamped tag on the bottom. The focal point of the card is a beautiful rhinestone circle accented with a felt snowflake and a button.
And there you have them - our gallery highlights for the week! As I say every week, I really wish we had time and space to feature more of the amazing designs out there.
