Welcome to Gallery Highlights for this week!
This week’s finds include some great layout designs that are sure to inspire you. I fell in love with the collages I found on these layouts! Let’s go take a look at them and I hope you like them all as much as I do. Don’t forget – You can click on the links to visit the layouts in their galleries and view supply lists, leave a comment for the designer, or view the designer’s other work.
Upstate Apartment by adrianita
I love the idea behind Audrey’s layout – documenting photos of her apartment. How I wish I had documented past apartments and houses that I’ve lived in! Her design is fantastic, too. I love the way she stretched her photos across the top of the page in a linear collage and then added journaling and her title underneath. Her photos are clearly the focus of the layout.
12 months by allieH
Allie’s layout is based on a sketch challenge from Lisa Truesdell’s You layout found at Studio Calico. I really like the way she created a photo collage of 20 photos and then matted them on several layers of cardstock and patterned paper. Her choice of neutrals for the background, patterned paper, title and embellishments allows the photos to shine.
Mom’s Week by Penny
I have always been a fan of “All About Me” layouts and Penny’s is a great one! She documented her weekly schedule from last fall by journaling on her background paper. She used letter stickers and brads as embellishments and then added more details in a small collage on the bottom right with a bit of washi tape and more journaling.
Discovering Feet by BrittanyLane
Brittany’s photo collage of her son discovering his feet is absolutely adorable. Besides the great photos, though, I also love that she filled one of the frames with patterned paper instead of a photo. Her embellishments are soft and muted and complement the colors in the photos perfectly.
Tons of Pumpkin Fun by smbradford
And finally, a bright and happy pumpkin layout to round out our layouts this week. Monica created a photo collage of 12 photos, matted them and placed them on the left side of her layout. She added patterned paper and embellishments to the right side with her title. A bright strip of orange underneath the collage and title grounds and balances the design and her journaling and small trees at the bottom are the perfect final touch.
And there you have them – our gallery highlights for the week! As I say every week, I really wish we had time and space to feature more of the amazing designs out there. Thanks so much to all of the designers who shared their work with us this week. What were your favorite gallery layouts last week?
