This complex looking card by Sandy Ang was actually creating using a quick shortcut – and she shows you how below!
Supplies | Patterned Paper: October Afternoon 9 to 5 Coffee Break, Heidi Swapp No Limits Destinations, My Mind’s Eye (unknown), Crate Paper Storyteller Yesterday. Stamps: Citrus Twist Sept. 2012 kit exclusive. Embellishments: pearl microbeads. (All items taken from recent Citrus Twist Kits.)
Do you love the die-cut look but don’t have a cutting machine ? Well here’s a tutorial on using chevron patterned paper to create the negative cut-out effect.
You select a chevron paper like this Coffee Break paper and cut out some segments to achieve a sort of ‘fishbone’ pattern. Then place a small-scale pattern like this Destinations papert behind your chevron cut-out to create layered effect.
