Welcome to World Card Making Day on Card Annex! Later today, we’ll have more cards – and a GIVEAWAY! But in the meantime…how about some holiday card inspiration to kick off with?
This adorable card by Kristy Dalman of Some Odd Girl stamps will have you counting the days until the snow flies and the scarves come out of the closet!
Supplies | Stamps: Some Odd Girl (Winter Friends and Warm Wishes Tia). Pattern Papers: Studio Calico (Classic Calico Vol 2) , My Minds Eye “Follow Your Heart” (Be Happy). Glitter Paper: Doodle Bug Sugar Coated Cardstock (Swimming Pool). Ink: Tsukineko Memento (Tuxedo Black and Teal Zeal). Misc: Button, Thread, Copic Markers, Ranger Stickles (Stardust).
Kristy shared this with us about her card:
“During the holidays i love making snowy winter inspired cards. For this card I couldn’t help using the cute polar bear and giving him some light snow flakes and just as freshly fallen snow glistens in the sun, I added some sparkle to the snowflakes as well as using the glittery cardstock. For the snow flakes I used Teal Zeal from Memento which is a very rich color ink (its the same as the sentiment is stamped in) but I wanted it to have a very soft feel and not to over power my back ground. So I stamped it on a scrap paper twice before stamping it the third time onto my background paper.”
If you like Some Odd Girl, be sure to check back later in the day, because we will be giving away some of their stamps in a World Card Making Day giveaway!
