This super-cute card by designer Sara Grafton brings baby congratulations in an adorable, and slightly unconventional, design!
Supplies | Cardstock: Neenah (Solar White), Stampin’ Up! (Daffodil Delight). Patterned paper: Lawn Fawn (Bright Side “Silver Lining”). Clear stamps: Lawn Fawn (Plus One, Critters in the ‘Burbs, & Critters in the Forest), Hero Arts (Right at Home). Ink: Tsukineko Memento (Tuxedo Black & Danube Blue), Ranger Tim Holtz Distress (Peeled Paint). Markers: Copic (YR61, E33, E39, V09).
This card was designed for Sara’s friend who just adopted a beautiful baby girl. The nursery theme is owls, so she used that as inspiration for the card theme. The owls were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. After the owls were cut out, a black marker matching the ink color helped define the edges. The hill was hand cut and Distress ink added some definition to the patterned paper. One sentiment did not seem to be enough for this card, so Sara mixed the sentiments from three Lawn Fawn stamp sets to complete the card.
