Autumn 2012 by MandyMK
Mandy’s beautiful layout is one of my absolute favorites! Look at how she included ephemera, photos, and papers in this gorgeous collage celebrating autumn. She layered so many different photos, notes, receipts and scrapping products and then tied it all up – literally – with a beautiful bow. I could look at this all day long!
Music Man by angie wags
Angie’s layout incorporates some adorable photos with a fantastic idea. She scrapped a page about her young son’s playlist from his iPod – how cool will this be to look back on when he’s a teenager?! I love the black grunge effect as well as the super-simple journaling – his playlist.
My Favorite Photos by Wendy McKee
I am a huge fan of scrapbookers who do simple designs well and Wendy’s layout is a perfect example of a simple design done beautifully. She combined black-and-white photos with small kraft paper and white-colored mini-embellishment clusters. There is so much attention to detail in this layout but it is very clean and linear because she chose to keep a lot of white space in the layout and designed her embellishment and photo collage on a grid. It’s just a gorgeous design!
Celebrate Today by norineb
As much as I admire clean and simple layouts, I also really admire designers who can use patterned paper well. Norine used polka-dot patterned paper as her background and layered photos with die-cut shapes on top. The result is both happy and carefree – exactly the feelings that she portrays in the photos.
Apple Orchard Field Trip by LoriS
And here’s another gorgeous fall-themed layout! Lori layered photos over white cardstock and used brushes, stamps, shaped-stickers, washi tape and a bunch of other embellishments to create a gorgeous collage. She added stitching to the edges of the white cardstock and then layered the whole thing over a piece of apple-themed patterned paper. The final result is a beautiful layout that showcases her adorable photos.
And there you have them – our gallery highlights for the week! As I say every week, I really wish we had time and space to feature more of the amazing designs out there.
