CHA Summer 2012: Silhouette

Silhouette was in Chicago with a large booth footprint, promoting their Cameo machine and its many accessories such as materials for cutting and add-on tools like the sketch pens.

A new product introduction that will likely appeal to many Cameo users are the dust covers, available in three colors, with an MSRP of $6.99.

What is Cre8time?

The Craft & Hobby Association shared an initiative at the Chicago show which is a concept that has grown out of the newly-revived non-profit CHA Foundation.

Cre8time is a consumer movement to help us all with an area that interferes with our crafting – time. Subtitled “Reclaim your creativity at Cre8time.org”, the initiative is aimed at helping crafters recover time in their lives so that they can devote it to their chosen craft.

Cre8time will launch fully in January 2013. The Foundation is currently soliciting donors and content contributors for Cre8time. Contact ldiaz@craftandhobby.org for more information on how to help.

So, what do you think of the Cre8time concept? Will you implement the campaign in your business? How?

CHA Summer 2012: Little Yellow Bicycle

I couldn’t go to CHA Summer 2012 without visiting Little Yellow Bicycle!

That’s me, Stephanie, on the right. On the left is Sharon Kropp, the owner of Little Yellow Bicycle. In the middle is my friend Kathryn, who taught classes at the local scrapbook store I worked at years ago. She is assisting at the show and does other work for Little Yellow Bicycle, too. While CHA is a lot of hard work, it also often comes with the fun of running into old friends. Continue Reading →
