Welcome to Gallery Highlights for this week!

This week’s projects include six beautiful layouts celebrating holidays, family activities and children having fun. I hope you like them all as much as I do. Let’s go take a look! Don’t forget – You can click on the links to visit the layouts in their galleries and view supply lists, leave a comment for the designer, or view the designer’s other work.

No. 10 by Sarah Webb

Sarah’s layout caught my eye immediately! It is so beautifully designed and showcases those adorable photos perfectly. I love the way the lined background paper contrasts with the vertical stripes and the chevron pattern without overwhelming the design. And adding in the stars was the perfect little touch!

Our Song by Sasha

I am always impressed by designers who can showcase a lot of journaling and Sasha did a great job in this layout. I love the element cluster around the photo and the way she added just a bit of bling to the top and bottom to balance it all out. She created this layout for ChicTags and you can read more about it here.

You by PaulaSG

Paula’s layout showcasing this single photo is simply gorgeous! I love the row of circles and all of the embellishment clusters. I also really like the way she distressed and texturized the background paper to bring more interest to a simple design. It’s a beautiful way to highlight a special photo.

Delight in the Details by lilithee

I have been seeing a lot of woodgrain papers in galleries all over the web lately and this next layout really jumped out at me. The designer used black-and-white paper, as well as a black-and-white photo, yet the layout is very colorful. She added in touches of green and blue everywhere, and it’s really a delightful combination.

Happy 4th of July by j_ingres

I’ve also seen a lot of 4th of July layouts in the galleries, and this one is one of my favorites. There are so many details to look at – misting, glitter, bling, brads, stitching, and a banner – and it’s really fun to see so many techniques on this happy holiday layout.

Drive in by Jen D

Jen’s layout is just spectacular! With two rows of photos, a bunch of adorable element clusters, and journaling, she still manages to keep this layout clean and simple. And I adore the line of cars along the bottom! This is just a stunning example of how to design a themed layout.

And there you have them – our gallery highlights for the week! I just wish we had time and space to feature more of the amazing designs out there.  Thanks so much to all of the designers who shared their work with us this week. You choose such meaningful layouts! I’m going to have to do that song one for my girls, with “I Hope You Dance”, and for me and hubby “I Only Have Eyes for You”.
