Welcome to Gallery Highlights for this week! I found some really fun projects this week with a nice variety of paper and digital layouts and cards. I hope you like them all as much as I do. Let’s go take a look! You can click on the links to visit the layouts in their galleries and view supply lists, leave a comment for the designer, or view the designer’s other work.
Driving Range by LonR
Loni used wonderful embellishments in this first layout. From the sun and the clouds that seem to float off the page, to the adorable trees and grass on the bottom, she did a fantastic job of adding themed embellishments to a page. She really paid a lot of attention to detail as well by adding the stitching, buttons, and little layered papers under the photo. It’s a fantastic page and great inspiration for scrapping summer activities.
I Love U @ 5.5 by SuzMannecke
This next layout is so creative that I had to look at it a couple of times to see all of the details! By layering an alpha sheet over other papers, she created not just a great background but also her title. And by keeping her other embellishments small and off to the side and surrounding the photo, she creates balance, movement and keeps the focus on the photo. Love this!
Cause and Effect by Shannamay
I love the simplicity of Sharon’s layout. She used a neutral background beautifully here to highlight a black-and-white photo. By using embellishments that literally point you towards the photo, it allows the photo to shine even though the papers and tag take up more physical space. It’s a great use of embellishments and a great use of white space.
You & Me by DeniseLaBorde
I love large photos and Denise did a beautiful job with this photo. She added journaling over the other “busy” parts of the photo which allows the focus to remain on the couple in the photo, rather than on the other details. She also put her title and other embellishments directly over and under the journaling on the right side which balances out the photo-heavy left side of the layout. This is a great design which just adds to the lovely warm feeling of the photo.
World’s Best Dad/Hubby Card by Teally
Masculine-themed cards have been popping up all over the galleries for Father’s Day, and this was one of my favorites. There’s just something about plaid that screams masculinity. Paired with the kraft paper, stars, and simple design, this card is just perfect for Dad.
Birthday Thank You Card by angie wags
This next card is one of the cutest I’ve ever seen! Angie’s son had a pirate-themed birthday party and she used these photos of him in a pirate costume for his thank you cards. She put the photos in vintage frames and taped them to the background, which really added to the pirate theme. Such a simple card but so adorable!
And there you have them - our gallery highlights for the week! I only wish we had time and space to feature more of the amazing designs out there. Thanks so much to all of the designers who shared their work with us this week. What were your favorite gallery layouts this week?
