Welcome to Gallery Highlights for this week! This week, we have a lot of color, a lot of creative designs, and some two-page layouts. So, let’s go take a look! You can click on the links to visit the layouts in their galleries and view supply lists, leave a comment for the designer, or view the designer’s other work.
Aunt Velma’s Cupcakes & Nasturtiums by readstoomuch
I was so excited to find this layout by Mollie for a couple of reasons. First, I’ve had a couple of requests for two-page layouts and they are hard to come by – with the exception of Project Life layouts. And second, what a cool layout this is! It’s part of a bigger project, a family cookbook that Mollie is making. I love that!
Photo booth app love by mini7924
The adorable small black-and-white photos drew me into this layout immediately. But I also love the layering, the title work, and the whimsical feel of the photos. This is such a wonderfully fun layout!
Mini-mini book by lizzy66303
This mini-book is so cool! And it really got my creative juices spinning – she used small pieces of cardboard, covered them with paper, added embellishments and connected them with a jump ring. What a great small book this would make for those cell phone photos, or Instagram photos!
Stitched Up by KariAnn
There is so much to love about Kari’s layout but I particularly admire how she created a bright and cheery layout about her daughter’s first stitches. The stitching, hidden journaling, the off-center photo and embellishments all combine to make this layout so much fun!
Love Your Laughter by nixshaus
The element clusters in this next layout are used perfectly to highlight these adorable photos. And the layered background papers create a perfect foundation for the delicate and sweet collage of embellishments.
Taking the Tests by tracermajig
I love everything that Trace does and this layout is no exception. She is an expert on telling the story but yet allowing her photos to shine. Here she uses brushes and small embellishments to draw the eye to the photo – which tells a story on its own – but also makes room for extensive journaling. This is an example of storytelling at its best!
Bamboo Attack! by zanyzookeeper
And look – here’s another two-page layout! And it uses so many photos – what a perfect use of a grid design. The neutral background allows the vibrant photos to pop, and journaling directly on the photos allows her to still tell the story. There’s excellent design in this two-page layout!
And there you have it – our gallery highlights for the week! I only wish I had time and space to feature more of the amazing designs out there. Thanks so much to all of the designers who shared their work with us this week. What were your favorite gallery layouts this week? Feel free to link us to them in the comments and let us know what you think and which are your favorites this week!
