Giveaway | Everyday Storyteller Bonus Tip & Blog Hop

Welcome to the Everyday Storyteller blog hop on Scrapbook Update! I’ve got a lot to share with you today – a giveaway, a bonus tip that goes along with my content in the book, and an invitation to the Everyday Storyteller launch party!

Bonus Tip: Creating Visual Texture

I have some quick cheats that I use to create visual texture, and they use my favorite tools: stamps and ink!

A quick spritz of spray ink only takes a few seconds, and creates instant visual texture.

For something a little less free-form than a spritz of ink, the spray inks can be used with a template. Some of the recent additions to my toolbox include trendy honeycomb and harlequin patterns to use with my spray inks.

For something a little less messy, and  a bit more structured, I go with background stamps. While mostly designed for use on cards, they can also be used to add an area of texture to a larger area such as a layout background.

So next time you need a little visual texture, dig into your stamping toolbox for a quick & easy solution!

Come to the Launch Party!

Like giveaways? Then you’ll love the Everyday Storyteller launch party! Our sponsors are giving away more than $700 in prizes during the launch party on Friday, May 4th, at 9:30pm EDT. You can get a VIP invite to the launch party by signing up on the Everyday Storyteller website!

Win a copy of Everyday Storyteller!

One lucky Scrapbook Update reader is going to win a copy of the Everyday Storyteller ebook! And as a special bonus – the winner will get their book before the book is available to the public! Get the book before your friends do by entering and winning!

How To Enter: All you have to do to have a chance to be the lucky winner is leave a comment on this entry before 11:59PM CDT on Tuesday night, May 1st. Make sure you include your email address in the line reserved for it on the comment form (for your own protection, don’t put it in the text of the comment, where it will be visible to the public – just in the line labeled “email” in the form where only Scrapbook Update staff can see it).
