Happy Birthday

This time of year is a bit of a whirlwind of holidays for our family – all three of our birthdays, and our wedding anniversary, take place within less than a month. That keeps me busy making cards! So I thought I’d share with my readers a copy of the card that I designed to send to my husband.

Gallery Highlights | 4.26.2012

Welcome back to Gallery Highlights! This week’s projects are so inspiring to me and I found a few new online galleries. Once again, I’ve found a mix of cards and layouts, both traditional and digital. So, let’s go take a look! You can click on the links to visit the layouts in their galleries and view supply lists, leave a comment for the designer, or view the designer’s other work.

When? by Jane_Bond7

Jane’s layout stole my heart immediately. All I had to do was read the first line of her journaling and I was a goner. I adore the journaling. And the design and amazing blending just add to the fabulousness of it.

Giveaway | Scrapbook Soup

Last week I had the pleasure of traveling to Ohio to take part in the taping of the upcoming new season of Scrapbook Soup that starts airing in July on PBS stations around the country.

Prepping for a tv segment is nerve wracking and time consuming, but ultimately a lot of fun! (Although I did look a little ridiculous with two suitcases for a one-night hotel stay….)

Here’s a peek inside the studio at what goes on!

Digital Designers | Jen Martakis

Meet the Designer | I am happy to introduce you to a wonderful digital designer – Jen Martakis. I have admired Jen’s work for a while now and I hope you enjoy getting to know her!

Jen’s Life | Jen lives in a small farming community in Northwest Indiana with her husband, Nick, and five sons. Her sons keep her very busy, as you can imagine! They range in age from her oldest, who is in college, all the way down to her youngest, who will start kindergarten next fall. With so many boys, her days are full, but she loves having all the boys around. It takes someone special to handle that much activity, but Jen loves it! As she says, “There is never a dull moment!” Continue Reading →
