Shopping | New Scrapbook Stuff

Yesterday was better than Christmas at our house…My massive order of mostly stamp supplies arrived from Simon Says Stamp. This was the first post-CHA Winter 2012 shopping that I have done and I was way overdue to get some new stuff to play with!

So what from the recent releases did I plunk my credit card down for, and why? Let’s play show & tell!

First, of course, I had to have some of the new 2012 Hero Arts releases.

I knew as soon as I saw the new Hero Arts designs that have newspaper fill pattern in them that I was going to have to have them. I started with these two, the butterfly and the heart. I’m looking forward to using them for multi-colored stamping with the new Distress Markers and also for stamping watercolor effects with the Distress Stains. Continue Reading →

Noteworthy | 3.16.2012

Now halfway through March, both Easter and St. Patrick’s Day holiday, as well as floral, spring, rainy day, and other seasonal subjects are popping up on blogs everywhere. Inspiration is plentiful, and lots of exciting things are going on.

The Pink Paislee blog is always full of inspiration, what I really enjoyed this week is the gold, cream, and green “color crush” series they have had this week. This card and decorated tin by design team member Jess Mutty really stood out for me. Her use of a wide mix of products by Pink Paislee as well as the color and metallic mediums she used to accent her project really caught my eye. Continue Reading →
