Northridge Announces New Designer Book Series, Signature Series

Northridge Publishing announced this week that they are launching a new subscription book series in 2012 called Signature Series. Each volume in the series will focus on the work and style of a different papercrafts industry designer.

From an entry on the My Craft Channel blog, it appears that the Signature Series book series is a partnership with them to promote their show hosts. Northridge purchased My Craft Channel from founder Kristine McKay in October 2011, shortly before the channel's official launch.

The first designer to be featured in the book series will be Teresa Collins. The February/March 2011 volume featuring Collins will launch in January 2012. It will be available digitally on January 1st, and in print form in mid-January. Collins, for those unfamiliar with her, is the creative force behind Teresa Collins Designs, which is known for its mostly black and white based product designs (fashionistas, think White House Black Market for scrapbooking).

Other designers that will be featured in the series in 2012 are:

  • Kristine McKay (April/May)
  • Heidi Swapp (June/July)
  • Elizabeth Kartchner (August/September)
  • Donna Downey (October/November)
  • Kelly Purkey (December/January)

Although this series seems to be being billed as a partnership with My Craft Channel for its hosts, Kartchner, Downey and Purkey do not currently have shows on the MCC schedule. Perhaps some show announcements are in the near future for some of the industry's most well-known designers?

The Signature Series books from Northridge Publishing will have a cover price of $17.95. Subscriptions are available for an introductory price of $49.95 for 6 issues.
