When May Flaum asked me to contribute a technique to her book, Scrapbook Workshop: The Best Techniques From Your Favorite Scrapbook Bloggers, I was incredibly flattered and then incredibly scared.  I wanted to pick the absolute perfect technique that was going to be simply the most amazing thing in the whole world.  Well, May gave me some good advice: She told me not to overcomplicate it and just do what came naturally to me.

The technique I share in the book is how to paint titles for your scrapbook. It’s something I love doing. And while it’s easy to do, I have run into a lot of people who hate their handwriting and want their titles to look like mine. And so I finally came up with a solution!

Earlier this year I teamed up with The Crafter’s Workshop to design a line of templates. Two of the eighteen templates are word masks. I used one…
