[Contest] Announcing the “Update Inspiration Facebook Contest”

Have you ever looked at a Scrapbook Update product review or technique article and been inspired to create?  Well, now is your chance to show us how recent SU inspiration articles have inspired your crafting! Scrapbook Update is hosting our first ever “Update Inspiration”  Facebook contest!

For this month’s contest, your inspiration will need to come from:

Melissa’s Trend Watch article on Decorative Tape

May’s Guide to Liquid Mediums

How to Enter: Create a layout or project using one (or both of those) articles to inspire your creativity. It could be as simple as using the product reviewed on your layout, or trying the technique mentioned. You could use the project created for the article to inspire your page. It’s up to you. Once your project is complete, upload a photo of it to our Facebook Page sharing with us what part of the article(s) you got your inspiration from. (To upload a photo to our page click on the photo link at the top and then follow the prompts.)

Entries must be posted by 11:59 pm (CST) May 31, 2011

One more thing…what contest would be complete without prizes?? The very fabulous Mark Montano is donating not one but two autographed copies of his latest book, Pulp Fiction.

If you haven’t read this book, you need to – it’s fabulous! Mark’s passion is paper. He loves repurposing things that would otherwise be trash and turning them into treasure. He provides simple techniques and patterns to inspire you to create a variety of projects worthy of giving as gifts or keeping for yourself, to decorate a room or proudly wear. Projects aside, my favorite part of the book was the brief, yet detailed intro giving a history of how Mark got to where he is today.

One book will be awarded to an entry chosen by and one entry will be chosen by the Scrapbook Update staff as “Staff’s Choice.”

Remember to post your project/layout photos to our Facebook Page before 11:59 pm CST May 31, 2011 in order to enter. Entries will not be accepted in any other form.
