Melissa Stinson Joins Scrapbook Update as Contributor

Today I get to do something that is my absolute favorite part of my job as Scrapbook Update's editor. I get to tell all of my readers about a very talented woman who I believe has a lot to contribute to the scrapbook industry. Her name is Melissa Stinson, and she is not only talented, she is also Scrapbook Update's newest Contributing Writer.

Melissa has been a dedicated scrapbooker for 13 years, and is also an avid photographer. Her scrapbooking, a combination of orderly paper & photo elements and more organic embellishment arrangements, can only be called eclectic because of the way that it combines various different style elements.

Although this may be the first time that you've heard Melissa's name, it won't be the last. She was just named to the design team at Counterfeit Kit Club Challenge, and has several other (still-secret) design gigs coming up in the near future.

Melissa, who lives in Alabama with her husband, is definitely a scrapbooking geek girl. She calls herself "scrappyjedi" online, combining her love of scrapbooking with her love of all things Star Wars, Dr. Who and Stargate. She even has a geek job, as a software engineer. Oh, and don't even think about getting in between Melissa and her patterned paper: She also has a second degree black belt in Taekwondo.

At Scrapbook Update, Melissa will serve to bring to the table more of a consumer voice on industry issues - an important perspective in an industry that is ultimately catering to consumers. She'll also be writing product reviews, and has a great eye for spotting trends that she'll share with our readers.

We're very excited to welcome Melissa to Scrapbook Update!
