Family Tag Feud: Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of the Nally Family Tag Feud!

We’ve decided to take the readers’ advice and make the posting of the tags anonymous! Plus, voting is going to stay open on all of the tags until Day 13 to give people who find the “family feud” later in the process the chance to vote on all of the tags.

Thanks everyone for all of the great comments and all the votes on the last set of tags! We have been enjoying so much making them and sharing them is just an extra bonus of fun. If you’d like a peek behind the scenes of the creation of these tags, check out the picture that we’ve posted on the Scrapbook Update Facebook page of our kitchen table work area with Mike hard at work.

So…without further ado…here’s the second day of tags…vote away! (We aren’t providing more details than this on the tags right now to avoid giving away who the artist was of each tag.)

  23. Kathy Hakim December 3, 2010 at 10:36 am #

I love the tags but am wondering why there are no chanukah tags. We are in the middle of chanukah and I have see very little to nothing regarding chanukah and scrapbooking

  24. Carol December 3, 2010 at 10:47 am #

I like them both but I especially like the second one. I am going to have to try this. What a great idea!

  25. Danielle @OhioDanielle December 3, 2010 at 11:12 am #

These are both great! I love how your husband is crafting with you. It’s hard to figure it out, but I’m thinking that you did the first one. Looking forward to the reveal 🙂

  26. Lori Nowak December 3, 2010 at 11:36 am #

They are both lovely but I had to choose one!

  27. JillT December 3, 2010 at 11:58 am #

Today Itried to scan through and not look at who made which. Think today’s race is a little tighter and I picked #1 based totally on the music background stamp.

  28. Jennifer Earley December 3, 2010 at 12:09 pm #

Wow, this is a hard decision! I really like both of them yet they are so different!

  29. Candy December 3, 2010 at 12:16 pm #

You’ll have to write an entire blog or two on what you learned from this experience.

  30. scrapper al December 3, 2010 at 12:29 pm #

Difficult decision because both tags are beautiful in their own way.

  31. Cindy d December 3, 2010 at 1:00 pm #

So hard to choose! I finally went with #2, but it was so close. Curious to learn which is whose!

  32. Linda Leonhardt December 3, 2010 at 2:32 pm #

They’re both soo beautiful, so it’s hard to choose one, but I think I like the first Tag a little better!

  33. Mike Nally December 3, 2010 at 2:56 pm #

With 262 votes cast it’s a dead heat? Amazing!

  34. Nancy Nally December 3, 2010 at 3:06 pm #

Uh-oh…we may have to come up with a tie contingency rule! LOL

  35. Teri December 3, 2010 at 3:07 pm #

#1, the music and the whimsy bling just make me think of cold and caroling.
Great job, do which they could be side by side-

  36. Lesa Livingston December 3, 2010 at 3:23 pm #

They are both beautiful (love the music background stamp and love the tree) I think it is truly terrific that you are both doing the tags. So nice to have so much talent and creativity in the family!

  37. Kristina December 3, 2010 at 3:32 pm #

Oh my they are both so gorgeous! It was really hard to decide on which one.

  38. Fran December 3, 2010 at 3:32 pm #

Like them both..didnt realize when I voted .. that my before my vote there was a tie.. one more for the “other” person.. I like not being able to which who’s is whos..

  39. Nancy Nally December 3, 2010 at 3:34 pm #

There’s been a couple questions about how the Christmas tree on Tag #2 was done. We’ve decided I am official question-answerer about these things to avoid revealing who made what. 🙂

    1) Stamp the tree in dark green & let dry
    2) Stamp tree again in light green (slightly offset) & let dry
    3) Stamp tree again in clear embossing ink (slightly offset yet again) & apply white embossing powder & heat emboss
    4) Create ornaments with dots of two different colors of Stickles. Let dry.
    5) Apply Crackle Paint in Clear Rock Candy over entire tree. Let dry.
    6) Apply star embellishment to top of tree.

I hope that makes sense of the tree technique!

  40. Nancy Nally December 3, 2010 at 3:37 pm #

So, when does everyone want to know who did each tag? Would you like us to put it in the next day’s post…or leave it until the end?

  41. Izzy December 3, 2010 at 4:08 pm #

Interesting that the voting is so close today! So many comments that they had a hard time choosing between them, and I have to agree there! This is a lot of fun and I can’t wait to try the tree technique!

    • Mike Nally December 3, 2010 at 9:11 pm #

I can’t believe how close the voting has been all day either!

Tonight’s new tags are going to be interesting. Two very different styles. We both like each other’s tags better than our own as usual. I’m predicting a landslide win for Nancy’s tag even though I like my own tag very much. We’re going to stick with the guessing game though. No spoilers. It should be another fun round!

  42. Julia C December 3, 2010 at 4:18 pm #

These are both so gorgeous! Very hard to decide, but I went with #1 because I love the music stamp 🙂

And I think next day would be good to find out which tag was which.

  43. Cynthia H December 3, 2010 at 6:05 pm #

I love the double stamping of the tree in tag #2. Thanks for sharing the how to!

  44. Lyneen December 3, 2010 at 9:48 pm #

Wow these are neck and neck… it was truly hard to decide on JUSt one!

  45. Barb in Ak December 5, 2010 at 2:14 pm #

Nancy, I am such an impatient person. I would love to know who made each tag the next day 🙂 Don’t think I can’t wait til the end!
