[Sponsor Giveaway] My Creative Classroom

Scrapbook Update welcomed a new sponsor this month…and they want to introduce themselves by doing a giveaway for our readers!

Hello Fellow Crafters!  My Creative Classroom is back for a brand new semester.  This fall we have over 100 online courses and we are so excited to get the semester going.

We have completely redesigned our website so be sure to stop by and check it out.  We have added four new instructors: Allison Davis, Glenda Waterworth, Michelle Van Etten and Korin Surtherland.  New partner companies include; Prima Marketing, Donna Salazar Designs and Epiphany Crafts.

If you are new to MCC, we are an online arts and crafts learning center.  Our interactive and in-depth courses are instructor led and filled with wonderful projects and techniques to help you get the most out of your supplies. From the Cricut to Copics to mixed media to rubber stamping to scrapbooking we have something for everyone. Our newly remodeled free classroom, Everyday Moodlings, is now open for enrollment.

We are excited to be sponsoring this give-a-way on Scrapbook Update.  Two lucky winners will receive $25 scholarships good towards any class of their choice.  Good luck and see you in the classroom.

How To Enter: All you have to do to be one of the lucky winners is leave a comment on this entry before Midnight U.S. eastern time on Monday night, September 13th. Make sure you include your email address in the line reserved for it on the comment form (for your own protection, don’t put it in the text of the comment, where it will be visible to the public – just in the line labeled “email” in the form where only Scrapbook Update staff can see it). We will need it to notify you if you are a winner. Winners will be drawn by random drawing from all eligible entries. One entry per person.

Scrapbook & Cards Today Gets New Editor

Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine has has a new Editor-In-Chief, effective immediately, according to an announcement made today by founder and President Catherine Tachdijian.

The new Editor is a familiar face to many in the industry: Becky Fleck, the owner of PageMaps.com, which reaches 20,000 readers per month, and the author of the bestselling book Scrapbook Page Maps: Sketches For Creative Layouts. Her follow-up book, Scrapbook Page Maps 2: More Sketches for Creative Layouts and Cards, is scheduled for publication by Memory Makers in November.

“Becky brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Scrapbook & Cards Today team, both as a writer and as a graphic illustrator. With her highly successful book Scrapbook PageMaps, and her second book Scrapbook PageMaps 2 (available October 2010), Becky’s relationships within the industry make her a valuable member of our team,” Catherine said.

Fleck, who lives in Montana, is an experienced scrapbooking instructor and graphic illustrator who freelances for several scrapbook companies, in addition to her website and book authoring. She’s been a longtime columnist for Scrapbook & Cards Today.

Previous Editor-in-Chief Kerry McRorie will be moving to the position of Senior Editor and will continue to contribute to the publication.

“Kerry’s clear vision for Scrapbook & Cards Today these past four years has made this publication a worldwide success,” Tachdijian said in the announcement.  “Kerry will continue to be a strong part of the Scrapbook & Cards Today family.”

No reason was announced by the publication for the change.
