NSD 2010 11PM Hour: Time To Brag!

Time to turn out the lights…the party’s over….(well, on the east coast anyway for those of us whose kids will get us up at 8am even on a weekend).

I hope everyone has been having a great National Scrapbook Day and got lots of scrapbooking done that they are happy about. We’ve got one last prize to give away here today, and since we figure by now everyone has seriously depleted their stashes scrapbooking all day – it’s a big one from Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker!

This pack has 22 cardstock sheets of patterned paper from a variety of collections, 10 die cut sheets, Cool Cord Brads, Burlap Buttons, and Breadless Tabs. It will keep the lucky winner scrapping for quite awhile!

How to Enter:

All you have to do to be one of the lucky winners is leave a comment on this entry before Midnight U.S. eastern time on Sunday night, May 2nd, and we want to hear you brag about what scrapbook projects you got done today! Feel free to post gallery links if you’d like, even! Make sure you include your email address in the line reserved for it on the comment form (for your own protection, don’t put it in the text of the comment, where it will be visible to the public – just in the line labeled “email” in the form where only Scrapbook Update staff can see it). We will need it to notify you if you are a winner. Winners will be drawn by random drawing from all eligible entries. One entry per person. (Note: If you are reading this post via an RSS subscription, click here and it will take you to the giveaway on the  Scrapbook Update website where you can fill out the comment form at the bottom of the article to enter.)

Comments

  1. Actual projects completed – none. I did spend most of the day watching videos and tutorials that have inspired me and I feel will help me get some projects completed soon. So I’m not bragging, but I am hopeful :)

  2. I got some exercise today as I walked to the nearby copy store in my town (and back) and color copied some stuff to put in my SIL’s vacation album. I was excited to get this done so I can finish her book for her. It doesn’t seem like much, but it was just something I couldn’t get done all week and I really enjoyed the walk, too!

  3. I have two lo’s completed so far and a couple more I want to work on.

  4. I went SHOPPING! Wanted to use my 30% off coupon at Archiver’s and check out their make-and-takes. I also spent a good amount of time in the car driving to pick my husband up from a bike ride and got to think a lot about how I want to put together my Week in the Life album. I got home and have been uploading pictures…

  5. Cynthia B. says:

Sadly, I haven’t been able to scrap all day!
I got back from my daughter’s Brownies museum sleepover this morning, went to my son’s soccer game, and then to a block party. This is the first me-time I’ve gotten all day!
So…nothing to brag about scrap-wise…but I do have to brag on my wonderful kids and on my great neighbors too. So even if I didn’t scrap all day, I know the pics I took today will be making it into our family album.
Thanks for the chance to win, and thanks for hosting such wonderful NSD posts today!

  6. savannah says:

blog hopped and was online for NSD activities!

  7. I completed a layout for Lain Ehmann’s Layout a Day class. I also watched some videos from Two Scrappy Chicks, and Ustream videos from a couple others. Very inspired today. Got my photos organized so that I can continue scrapping throughout the month. Blogged a bit. My layout is posted at http://www.mcscraps5.blogspot.com

  8. Cindy d says:

I got tons (for me) done! I completed three layouts and did all of the hourly challenges on scrapbook.com. I watched two of the Fiskateers classes and am working on a project for that. What a great day!

  9. pauline says:

no scrapping done, but I did organize my supplies and got lots of inspiration online.

  10. My scrapping activities were mainly checking out different scrapbooking and stamping sites on the internet. There is so much information and inspiration readily available. Thanks for all of your articles and thoughts today!

  11. no scrappin got done today, I had homework to deal with.

  12. savannah says:

Spent the day with you and saw lots of new stuff.

  13. Well, I can’t brag yet, as I just sat down about half an hour ago to work on some things. But, I am going to make this my National Scrapbook Weekend. :) Why limit it to one day? Lol. My first project is to make a layout without using a picture. It’s very cool, I’ve had this idea for a bit but have been thinking it over, and now I’m ready to start! :)

  14. Yolanda B. says:

I completed 4 layouts, 3 cards, 1 svg, and organized the closet in my scrap room. Thanks for the chance to win the giveaways today!

  15. spent the day moving my mom, so no scrapbooking :(

  16. not a scrapbooker, but I did spend alot of today trying to win a NSD prize for my wife!

  17. I got 2 layouts finished & have 2 more started. Which for me is a lot, I am a slow scrapper!

  18. I so wish I could report on some scrapbooking I did today, but between working, taking my oldest daughter to a playdate and socializing with her mom, and then taking both my daughters to a birthday party and socializing with people there, well … no scrapbooking for me. I hope to do some tomorrow, though.

  19. I did my first canvas project today. It was fun being able to be dimensional and to go past the edges without worrying about page protectors. And it’s a gift for a friend. It’s so cute, it’s going to be hard to give away!!

  20. Renee J. says:

Wow, thanks for thinking of us. I was able to scrap one lay-out. You know how Saturday’s can be with lots to do. I am hoping that I can scrap more this week.

The prizes look awesome. Thank you so much for the chance to win. Nancy, thanks, too, for always sharing you enthusiasm with us. We really appreciate it and YOU.

    Happy Scrapping,

    Renee J.

  21. Oh how I wish I could brag and say I got a ton of layouts done today, but I actually spent the day with my family making more memories to scrap. LOL! I did get a few class kits prepped that for a class that I am teaching next week. Does that count? *Ü*

  27. Emily W says:

I didn’t get any scrapbooking done today, I work at a craft store and was there 9am-9pm! (Would still love to win, though, benefit of working at a craft store is a discount, downside is not getting the income to support the habit!)

  28. Laurie says:

No actual scrapping done, I was too busy shopping at the craft store!

  29. Brianna says:

No scrapping for me today – but I’m sure that prize package would provide some inspiration ;)

  30. I had to work, so I didn’t get to any scrapping today.

  31. I got 4 layouts, 2 cards, & part of a mini book done today.

  32. I didn’t manage to complete any projects today but I have been inspired by some amazing work complete by other people :-) I did manage to purchase a few scrapbooking goodies today, so I will be able to complete the projects I have started.

  33. I got 1 Layout so far, but I think I’ll fiinish a couple today! Love NSD!!

  38. Angie Smith says:

We cropped at our local scrapbook store all day and celebrated fellowship! It was the first time I had the opportunity to crop outside my home with other ladies and I really enjoyed it. We also previewed and purchased alot of new products that just debuted.

  39. Scrapper Q says:

Today {NSD] I did make a flip-card with photos as a gift to the friend who gave me the book with the card’s ‘how-to” instructions. I also watched the Paperclipping live feed [which I would not have known about except for your post several days ago -- THANK YOU!]. Thanks, too, for all these giveaways today, especially the sketch.

  40. I finished three layouts on NSD, including a 2 page spread that recapped my Week in the Life project. I attended a class at Fiskateers (still need to complete that project) and enjoyed Paperclipping Live in the late afternoon. And of course I cruised around the blog world to great sites like this one, to see all the fun activities going on. I was exhausted by suppertime and went to bed shortly thereafter. It was a great day. Thanks for all you do.

  41. Hester says:

I browsed internet, did some online shopping, and worked a lot of hours on a mini album.

  42. Been very busy this day creating all kinds of things but I love Nikki’s papers .. Karin #6470

  43. VickiF says:

Want to thank you again, Nancy, fo rthe great NSD giveaways. But, more importantly for all the reporting you do for us. You make it easier to keep tabs on the industry…..for that, I’m very grateful. I know it’s a lot of work, you do it well. So…..THANK YOU!

  44. Erika M says:

I got my Mother’s Day gifts completed today!

  45. Merrilee says:

I finished 2 paper layouts and a digi one and helped DD get 4 layouts done including a 2 pager.

  46. Renee T (italgal on BPS) says:

True Confession: Spent WAAAAYYYY too much time online this year, for NSD! I did, however, collect and get all my pictures edited from a “sisters” trip to Florida, that I just returned from on Thursday. And I started the planning (Titles, quotes, etc) for a digital Storybook from CM that I will be creating for the event. So – something accomplished, but not exactly brag-worthy!

  47. I completed one layout. Also helped my niece work on hers. And helped my cousin make the tags for her wedding favours. Hope to get a few more pages done today.

  48. Michelle says:

I didn’t complete any pages but instead spent time with my 6 year old daughter helping her learn to scrapbook and completing some projects. We made some pages and a couple of cards. Nothing too complicated but she got to see it go from nothing to complete. Usually she scraps with me but gets bored and goes to do something else. Today was focused on helping her rather than working on my stuff. I want to do the “real beauty” album project I saw online with her but wanted to practice first. I think with some help she might be ready!!! Funny how it still feels like it was a productive day even nothing of my list was completed.

  49. Michelle M says:

I went shopping to my lss{ who had NOTHING on for NSD ..gasp!} bought some Tim Holtz bottled distress inks, watched Tim Holtz videos on line and made my own mists {woohoo!]. Made 2 mother’s day cards{ gotta get them in the mail by tomorrow!] and commented on a gazillion LOs by my talented friends at scrapbook.com.. not as productive as I would have liked but at least i got something done!

  50. frances m grillo says:

i had a great day cropping with 50 others at a pink passion crop, got 2 12×12 and 10 8×11 layouts done and then attended a court of awards ceremony with my senior girl scouts!
