NSD 11am Hour: Scrap Something You Love

We all have pictures and products that we absolutely love that for some reason end up sitting untouched. We don’t have time, or we tell ourselves we need just the right thing to go with them….that neglect of something you love should end today! If you can’t use the things you love most on the day intended to celebrate our mutual love of our craft, when can you?

Those layouts that I showed you at 10am that are on my desk include some of those things I love, both products and pictures, that I want to scrap. Here’s the rest of the stuff that I’ve pulled out to use with the Cinderella one, stuff that I bought just this past week:

In addition to the KI Memories lace paper pictured before, I bought an Autumn Leaves Everyday Sentiments stamp set and American Crafts Glitter Paper at Michaels this week that I know will be perfect with this layout.

So, this hour…haul out that stuff you really love that you have been neglecting and do something with it! Pictures, products, tools…whatever…get playing!

And speaking of stuff to love, of course there’s a prize to win, too!

One of the things that I have sitting that I would love to get around to using is some of the Pink Paislee Cupid Collection. So, this hour’s prize is Pink Paislee! We have a prize pack with all the papers from the Queen Bee, Bayberry and 365 Degrees Collections to give away to a lucky Scrapbook Update reader:

How to Enter:

All you have to do to be one of the lucky winners is leave a comment on this entry before Midnight U.S. eastern time on Sunday night, May 2nd Tuesday night May 4th (deadline extended due to Feedburner delivery problems) telling us what your favorite thing is that you’ve been neglecting. Sadly, scrapbooking, I should spend more time scrapbooking and less time shopping at the craft store and patrolling scrapbook blogs!! I am so in love with these Pink Paislee lines! Thanks for the chance to win!

I should use my Cricut more and my spray inks

  14. Lainey says:

I’ve been neglecting my scrap room big time…hopefully I will rectify that today!

  15. I have been neglecting the heritage album I started of my mom and dad’s photos-did some before she passed away last month and then just set it aside-so I need to get the pictures scanned and printed so I can get busy on it again. I also want to do an album of me and I have been procrastinating on that too!

  16. The favourite thing I’ve been neglecting is my shaped paper – lace cardstocks and shaped patterned paper. I AM going to use some TODAY! Thanks for the inspiration!

  17. I’ve been sadly neglecting my cricut. I need to get in there and use it more! I do love it.

  18. I’ve got some Basic Grey papers sitting around. They are just too pretty to use because then they will be all gone. Does that make any sense?!?

  19. Teri Weber says:

Right now, I’m neglecting all my pretty ribbon and my inks :( Need to get those out and start to party! hehe
    teri :)

  20. I’ve been neglecting scrapping in general, especially journalling which to me is the most important part of it!

  21. I have new tools I’ve been wanting to use…my Cricut (used once), I got the Slice embosser that I haven’t used. I’d like to stamp more. My Dabber…got to get the hang of. I pulled out my old sewing machine to use, need to do that….yes, I have a long list of stuff to start using…we get in ruts and use the same stuff over and over, and I need to stop that :)

  22. Renee T (italgal on BPS) says:

I have been neglecting scrapbooking for me! I do a lot of scrapbooking for others, and – because I am always working on “client” projects…I NEVER get to do my own pages anymore!

  23. Melinda Wilson says:

right now I have the new Material Girl line that I have been saving but I need to use it!

  26. I have been neglecting my unfinished mini books. I have three going right now that I know will be well loved once they’re finished, but life is getting in the way. I will say that I am drooling over the Pink Paisley giveaway, thought, specially Queen Bee line. Thanks!

  27. My favourite thing that I have been neglecting is ME! I make time for my creative side to play but I don’t make enough time to work on my physical body. I need to put exercise into my PODA (Parade of Daily activities) so that I am using my body gently everyday. Less than a year ago I was bed-ridden and unable to walk. I found out that it was caused by allergies and I have changed my diet to suit and my strength is slowly returning.

  28. karen keiper says:

in scrapbooking it would have to be lace cardstock. I buy it because its beautiful and never use it!? In life in general i would have to say i have been neglecting my music. it has been literally years since i picked up my clarinet.

  32. nitasha says:

I’ve been neglecting getting my son’s baby books done, well actually even started! And they are 8 and 12 so I’ve really been neglecting this project! Over the years I’ve gathered things that I want to use to make the perfect albums for them, but then new CHA goodies are released and I get all in a tiffy trying to decide on themes…I need to be like Nike and “just do it”!

  33. I have been neglecting my boys albums and school work (but I don’t really love that). Lately we have been so busy planning events and prepping artwork for those events that these albums have been on the back burner. Thankfully, I have a little down time planned for, ah, about the next couple of days, so I can work on anything I desire. :)

My sister sent me a picture of her having a reunion w/ a friend she hadn’t seen since elementary school. They share the same birthday and she enclosed a card her friend had sent this year, too. I think I feel intimidated cause it’s not for me. I am frozen. I want to do it justice, make her happy, etc etc. Can’t seem to make my first move!!!

  37. I’ve been neglecting my transparencies. I need to quit saving them for the perfect layout and just use them!

  38. Sewing. I got so involved with my very new scrapbook hobby I have neglected the sewing machine alot. My one track mind gets in the way sometimes!

  39. Caren Smith says:

OMG! LOVE the papers! Crossing my fingers….

Jeeze, I’ve been neglecting so many things, hmmm… how about actually PRINTING the photos I take (I have a year’s worth to print when hubby isn’t around to see the huge box coming from Shutterfly), putting current photos in frames that are hanging on the walls with pictures of models still in them, and mostly, the Cricut Design Studio that I haven’t gotten to use really since I purchased it 2 years ago :(

  40. I have a lot of paper that I’ve been neglecting. I’m trying to find the perfect project for them…

  41. Julie, momto7 says:

I would love to do more with my punches. Whenever I do, I am always happy with the results. But or some reason, I don’t pick them up as much as I should.

  42. Leslie says:

I’ve been neglecting some gorgeous kits that I’ve purchased. Perfection is my biggest enemy and I’m afraid to use the products in the kits and not be able to replace them if I mess up the pages. Sigh…

I have been putting off cleaning my scrap loft cause it is so overwelming

  50. Patricia Logan says:

Unfortunately, scrapbooking has been taking a backseat to a lot of things, esepcially my disney album. I have pictures from 2004 (Florida), and 2007 (disneyland) that I have yet to do, before we head off to Disney World in December 2010. I am also neglecting my neice’s baby album, and my oldest nephew’s album too.
