NSD 11am Hour: Scrap Something You Love

We all have pictures and products that we absolutely love that for some reason end up sitting untouched. We don’t have time, or we tell ourselves we need just the right thing to go with them….that neglect of something you love should end today! If you can’t use the things you love most on the day intended to celebrate our mutual love of our craft, when can you?

Those layouts that I showed you at 10am that are on my desk include some of those things I love, both products and pictures, that I want to scrap. Here’s the rest of the stuff that I’ve pulled out to use with the Cinderella one, stuff that I bought just this past week:

In addition to the KI Memories lace paper pictured before, I bought an Autumn Leaves Everyday Sentiments stamp set and American Crafts Glitter Paper at Michaels this week that I know will be perfect with this layout.

So, this hour…haul out that stuff you really love that you have been neglecting and do something with it! Pictures, products, tools…whatever…get playing!

And speaking of stuff to love, of course there’s a prize to win, too!

One of the things that I have sitting that I would love to get around to using is some of the Pink Paislee Cupid Collection. So, this hour’s prize is Pink Paislee! We have a prize pack with all the papers from the Queen Bee, Bayberry and 365 Degrees Collections to give away to a lucky Scrapbook Update reader:

How to Enter:

All you have to do to be one of the lucky winners is leave a comment on this entry before Midnight U.S. eastern time on Sunday night, May 2nd Tuesday night May 4th (deadline extended due to Feedburner delivery problems) telling us what your favorite thing is that you’ve been neglecting. Make sure you include your email address in the line reserved for it on the comment form (for your own protection, don’t put it in the text of the comment, where it will be visible to the public – just in the line labeled “email” in the form where only Scrapbook Update staff can see it). We will need it to notify you if you are a winner. Winners will be drawn by random drawing from all eligible entries. One entry per person.

I need to finish a trip album to Holland that we took a year ago during the Easter break from school. Also last summer we took a road trip from the West coast across the northern states to Mich. and then down to Fl. I have about 3/4 of it done. Also a cruise album that is almost 2 years in the making. Good starts but no finishes.

Oh, yes, my stamps — gotta use them more. I ink edges on most pages, but haven’t been using my stamps enough. I love the flourishes.

Like many others have said…it’s my stamps. They just aren’t that convenient to get out. That’s half the issue right there.

I have been collecting photos, stories and memorabilia to put together a set of albums about my mom. She died suddenly from cancer 6 years ago and I want my children to know who she was and what she was like. I have neglected starting it….I think from fear that I won’t be able to do it perfectly. I just need to jump in with both feet and work on it.

I have lucky enough to take two vacations this year with different couples and all the time we are gone, i am snapping pictures and figuring out a layout page in my head and then I come home and the pictures sit in my box. My neglect and my goal is to get those vacation albums done and share with my friends!

I love putting together a bunch of related 12 x 12 papers (by theme, color, etc.). Then I can use the stack of papers to create a scrapbook, without having to dig through all of my papers!
