Giveaway: Donna Salazar Papers

One of the new trends in the scrapbook industry has been companies creating products that work with or coordinate with other company’s products. Die machines can use dies from multiple companies, and cardstock companies create coordinated lines for patterned paper manufacturers. When companies work together (either actively or passively) and create products that work together, it is good for the entire market. It enhances the value of both products to the consumer, and helps keep them engaged with the products.

Donna Salazar has been on the cutting edge of that trend by creating paper products that are intended for use with the products of multiple manufacturers. Previously Salazar has created products that extend several Zutter tools. At CHA Winter 2010, she introduced three new lines of papers that go with both Zutter products and several other product lines.

The Memory Mosaics line is intended to be compatible with Ranger’s line of Memory Glass and Frames, and also works as 4×6 panels with Zutter’s Dreamkuts Trimmer.

Salazar’s Trunk In The Attic line also works with the Dreamkuts, containing strip or panel designs perfect for cutting out on it:

A third line, Artistic Papers, is designed as a blank canvas for all the various color mediums that have been coming out lately as stamping has started to influence scrapbooking more: ink sprays like Smooch and Glimmer Mist, ink blenders, Glossy Accents and pens & ink pads. Printed on 80lb cardstock with black outline designs for adding color to, the paper is intended to stand up to the wet and dry cycles that ink-heavy techniques stress paper with.

If you’d like to try these papers out, keep reading! Donna Salazar is graciously donating a prize pack of each of these collections to Scrapbook Update’s readers! So, three lucky Scrapbook Update readers will get to play with one of these collections!
