Creating Keepsakes fonts will no longer be available from their longtime sales partner ScrapNfonts after tomorrow, May 5th. Currently, all of the Creating Keepsakes fonts on the site are discounted on a “retirement sale” that is selling them in bundles for as little as $.50/each.
ScrapNfonts, which is described on the website as a “joint venture” between Creating Keepsakes and Inspire Graphics, has been the online sales home for the purchase of individual Creating Keepsakes fonts for four years. But now, according to Inspire Graphics CEO Mark Seastrand, “CK Media and Inspire Graphics will will mutually allow their contract to sell CK Fonts on scrapNfonts.com to expire.”
(If his name seems familiar, Seastrand is the former publisher of Creating Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooks & PaperCrafts magazines. He also was the president of Coterie, a scrapbook products company he formed with Becky Higgins & Lisa Bearnson that was quickly scuttled in response to complaints that it would compete with Creating Keepsakes’ advertisers.)
According to Seastrand, Inspire Graphics has plenty of plans for moving forward after the deal expires:
ScrapNfonts plans to continue to develop new and fresh fonts to meet the needs of this ever changing market and will be premiering a new line of font styles in early May. Inspire Graphics will also continue to license and develop custom fonts for other organizations to meet their specific market needs.
