Check out webwindows.co.uk for superb advertising deals and to advertise your website through national press. This is a great opportunity for all those who are on restricted budgets and yet want national exposure since web windows has been offering over 50% off ad rate cards.

This isn't surprising, unfortunately magazines exist not only to provide us, the readers with content, but to generate revenues through advertising. It is no secret that print advertising is a HUGE expense for many companies - even in the best of times. Now with the economy in the state it's in, everybody is tightening up - even the big guys. What was once an "no brainer" is now being scrutinized by all levels of the organization. Even the big boys, (not just in scrapbooking) are feeling this, (uhm, GM/FORD) imagine needing approval from the Chief Financial Officer of a Fortune 500 company to spend 25K - seems that the only thing companies are spending money on freely is red tape - wonder if we can upsell them some brads to go with that? :-)

unfortunately I think this is a sign of the times, but really, even in a good economy, how long could we ride that wave of scrapbook gluttony? I think Memory Makers will be gone by the end of the year and CK will remain...but it wouldn't surprise me to see it go back to a bi-monthly.
