[Poll Results] Do you promote home decor projects to your customers?

It’s good to know that people are thinking outside the scrapbooking “box” in their promotions and marketing.

Do you promote home decor projects to your customers? (7 votes)

Yes – 71.4%

No – 28.6%

Jenna Franklin, of Scrapbook News + Reviews, explained very well in the poll comments why it can be so beneficial to teach customers about home decor:

If you teach your customers how to decoupage, you can add coordinating pieces of paper plus embellishments for an entire custom look for their room in a matter of hours. Once they see just how easy it is to change their decor themselves, or add seasonal touches, many consumers will continue to make both large and small changes to their decor more often, adding to their need for more supplies. However, without someone to show them HOW, many consumers will simply admire the pieces they see online and in magazines and never take that step. Be that someone!

I would have to agree with Jenna. A good rule of thumb for marketing is to give away free information to your customers. The more they know the better customer they will be. Plus helping out the customer goes a long way with loyalty.
