EK Success Holding Store Promotion Event

EK Success is holding a store promotion event on November 15th to promote their top-selling independent retailers. The event is a “Crop Scene Investigation” themed Customer Appreciation Day with make-n-takes and product demonstrations. Featured products will include lines from EK Success, K&Co, Inkadinkado, Martha Stewart Crafts, and Prism Cardstock.

Registering for the event online gets participants entered in daily prize drawings between now and November 10th, and signed up to receive promotional information about other contests and the event at their selected location. (During the sign-up process, participants are offered the option of signing up for newsletters from the various product sponsors, but address collection is only for the purposes of the drawing and will not be retained otherwise according to the site).

Approximately 185 brick-and-mortar stores in the U.S. will be participating in the event, along with 3 international stores. For customers who don’t live near a participating brick-and-mortar store, there are 4 participating online stores (including one of my favorite online stores A Cherry On Top).

Update comment: Events like this are good marketing for both the small stores and the manufacturer. Other companies should take a hard look at this kind of cooperative marketing – it will need to be a part of successful booths at the CHA-Summer 2009 consumer show in Orlando.
