A Way To Remember To Have Fun Scrapbooking

If you are reading this blog, you probably are all too aware that scrapbooking is not all fun and games. We will get back to those issues in the future, but today I want to tell you about a great new book that just may help you put the fun back in your scrapbooking if too much drama has made that fun take a vacation.

Scrapbook Play is the new special issue from Simple Scrapbooks. More than just a gallery of pretty page ideas, this book is full of prompts for fun things to do to fire up your creativity or help you try something new when you need a little joy.

The prompts range from suggestions for page topics that might not have occurred to you (“have your child photograph five happy things for a page”) to instructions on assembling a page (turn your journaling into mad libs, or pull together three patterned papers that share two colors). Scrapbook Play also includes some prompts that have links to online tools that will do things like make a word search puzzle or design an official seal for you to use.

So whether you “get inspired by television” or “let your child pick your supplies”, if you need to bring some fun back to your scrapbooking you will find Scrapbook Play a great way to do it. Pick up a copy, flip to a page and have some fun!
