Melody Ross To Focus On Creative Role At Chatterbox

Chatterbox, Inc. CEO Melody Ross has confirmed to Scrapbook Update this morning that there are some big changes in progress at the company. The company has brought in a new investor as a business partner and to manage the business part of the company's operations. Although she and husband Marq will still be owners of Chatterbox, Melody will now be free from management obligations to focus her energies on the art department instead of being a full-time executive and CEO. Melody writes to Scrapbook Update, "I have chosen to put my time and career back into product development, design, writing and getting back in touch with the customers and the rest of the industry..." She goes on to say that "We [Chatterbox] have recently been offered some HUGE new opportunities, and it is critical that I drive the creative and emotional force behind those projects."

There will be a few changes at Chatterbox as a result of the new investor taking over the business operations and Melody reverting to a creative role. "There will be some obvious management restructuring as I have chosen to take back a creative role rather than an executive role. Our new partner will be heading up the staff restructuring in all areas aside from the art department, which will remain under my authority," explains Melody.

Melody sounds very excited about continuing to drive the creative direction of Chatterbox and about being able to explore new possibilities with the company now that she will be free from the burden of running its day-to-day business operations and that the company will have the infusion of funds to fund more expansion. I for one am looking forward to seeing the result of Melody getting back to her creative roots at Chatterbox. It could certainly have inspiring results for other scrapbookers!
